Melanie Schonfeld is a Sydney based designer currently working at Tanner Kibble Denton Architects. Built upon the notion that nothing is definite, Melanie's work attempts to reflect the current period of time in a simple and refined manner — paying particular attention to the relationship an object has with its surrounding context. The experiential qualities embodied in her work arise by establishing a balance between practicality and phenomenology — by utilising the dynamic interaction between light, dark and the contrast between these two states in nature to highlight different aspects within her work to the observer.
